Data controller
Socket Nodehub is the data controller for personal data collected through socket-nodehub.digital and through enrolment in our Programs. Our office: Street: 297-299 Charoennakorn 10 Klongtonsai; City: Bangkok; State/province/area: Bangkok; Zip code: 10600; Country: Thailand. Email: info@socket-nodehub.digital. Phone: 662 4393870.
We handle personal data in line with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) and, where a participant is in another country, with any additional obligations that apply to that relationship.
What we collect
When you browse the site we may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the cookie preference stored locally under the key socket-nodehub-cookie-consent. Analytics cookies run only if you accept; see the cookie policy.
When you submit a form we collect name, email, optional topic, and message content. When you enrol we additionally collect billing contact, organisation name if any, Program choice, and attendance records. If you join a live session we process your display name and, if you enable it, camera and microphone. Classroom dictionaries you upload are treated as confidential student work; we ask that they be redacted of customer identifiers.
We do not require national ID numbers, payment card data on this website, or special-category data to teach event tracking. Please do not send them in the contact form.
Why we process data
- To answer enquiries and confirm seats (contract or steps prior to contract).
- To deliver Programs, including sending session links and materials (contract).
- To keep alumni channel access for the period stated in your seat type (contract / legitimate interest in community).
- To improve the site when analytics cookies are accepted (consent).
- To meet accounting and legal duties in Thailand (legal obligation).
- To protect the studio and other students against misuse (legitimate interest).
Retention
Enquiry messages are kept for 24 months after the last reply, unless they become part of an enrolment file. Enrolment and invoicing records are kept for at least five years to satisfy Thai accounting practice, then deleted or archived in reduced form. Atlas Reader access logs are kept for the licence term plus six months. Critique recordings, if any, are deleted within 90 days after the cohort ends unless a House Account agreement sets a longer internal archive. Cookie consent in localStorage remains until you clear it or choose again.
Student dictionaries are removed from shared clinic boards within 30 days after the final critique, unless you ask us in writing to keep a copy for a House Account follow-up.
Who we share with
We share personal data with processors who host email, video sessions, and file storage, under contracts that limit their use of the data. We may share invoicing data with our accountant. We do not sell personal data. If a House Account is purchased by your employer, attendance and completion notes may be shared with the named billing contact at that organisation.
We disclose data if required by Thai authorities or a competent court, or to defend a legal claim.
International transfers
Some processors (for example video or email platforms) may store or access data outside Thailand. Where we transfer personal data abroad, we do so with appropriate safeguards: contractual clauses with the processor, and a practical assessment that the destination is suitable for the type of data involved (typically contact details and class participation, not full customer databases). If you join remotely from outside Thailand, your data will necessarily be processed in connection with the Bangkok studio.
Image assets on this site may be requested from Unsplash’s servers; font files may be requested from Google Fonts. Those requests are subject to those providers’ own notices.
Your rights
Subject to PDPA conditions and exceptions, you may request access to personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdrawal of consent where consent was the basis (for example analytics cookies). Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
You may also lodge a complaint with Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Committee. We would rather fix an issue first: write to info@socket-nodehub.digital with “Privacy request” in the subject. We aim to respond within 30 days.
To verify a request we may ask you to confirm control of the email address used in the enquiry or enrolment. We will not fulfil a request that would reveal another student’s confidential dictionary.
Children
Programs are designed for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 20 for enrolment. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use access control on student files, limit critique materials to enrolled participants, and instruct staff not to copy unredacted customer data. No online transmission is perfectly secure; please redact production identifiers before you upload a dictionary.
