Cookie policy
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device, or similar storage such as localStorage. They can remember a choice, keep a session, or help the publisher understand which pages are read. Socket Nodehub uses a deliberately small set. This page explains what we use, for how long, and who provides it.
Types we use
Essential. These remember whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, and they keep the site usable (for example loading header and footer partials). They do not profile you for advertising. The site still works if you reject analytics.
Analytics (optional). These run only after you press Accept on the banner. They help us see which syllabus and journal pages are read, in aggregate. If you press Reject, we do not set analytics cookies. Rejecting does not block enrolment forms, course pages, or legal pages.

We do not currently load third-party advertising cookies. If that changes, this table will be updated before they run, and the banner will still offer Reject.
How to manage or disable cookies
Use Accept or Reject on our banner. The choice is stored under socket-nodehub-cookie-consent in localStorage. To decide again, clear site data for socket-nodehub.digital in your browser settings, then reload; the banner will return.
You can also block cookies entirely in the browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and others each have a privacy or cookies panel). Blocking all cookies may also clear the consent flag, so the banner may show again. You can use the browser’s “block third-party cookies” setting; our essential preference is first-party storage.
Third-party cookies and similar requests
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts and images from Unsplash. Those requests may allow those providers to receive your IP address and standard request headers. They are not Socket Nodehub cookies, and we do not use them to advertise. Their retention and purposes are described in Google’s and Unsplash’s own notices. Video tools used during live Programs (after enrolment) have separate cookie practices disclosed when you join the session.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting optional analytics does not remove course content, forms, or the Event Schema page. You will simply not contribute to our aggregate readership counts. If you block all storage, the consent banner may appear on every visit, and injected header/footer scripts still function without analytics. Site functionality is not used as leverage to obtain consent.
